Executive Spine & Pain

Dr. Peyman Nazmi
Dr. Peyman Nazmi began his medical training at St. Raphael Hospital / Yale in New Haven, where he completed one year of Internal Medicine. He then pursued an Anesthesiology residency and a fellowship in Pain Management at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In 2001, he established an outpatient, office‑based interventional pain management practice in the greater Richmond, Virginia area. For more than 24 years, as Medical Director and treating physician, he has had the privilege of caring for tens of thousands of patients suffering from spinal, acute, and chronic pain syndromes using a variety of spinal injection techniques, radiofrequency ablation, neuromodulation and medication management.
Why a Direct Membership Model Means Better Care
Drawing from this experience, Dr. Nazmi explains why he believes a direct membership and focused care model can provide better outcomes:
1. More Direct Connection & Their Health
By implementing annual and follow-up routine comprehensive diagnostic exam services that deliver far beyond what healthcare insurance plans reimburse or cover, supported by year-long 24/7 communication services to optimize health outcomes, we detach from healthcare insurance plans restrictions on time/scope/medical necessity and instead focus purely on your healthcare journey. This direct connection, enabled by your investment in care beyond plan coverage, means your healthcare journey will receive more focused and immediate support. If plan-covered services make sense, we will provide them and bill plans, but that will be rare—most of our care interactions will lack insurance restrictions and instead take all the time necessary, and use all the tools necessary, to work toward optimal health outcomes. This routine exam model is over 100 years old, and evolved into protecting the health of our country’s most important and valuable executives. And this same model can optimize your health outcomes, too
2. Choosing the Right Treatment Pathway
When engaged in a high-connection routine exam subscription model, you are substantially enhancing the healthcare information/data that can guide selecting optimal treatment pathways. Your investment in this care model results in your healthcare professionals having substantially more time and information and connection with you to guide your ongoing treatment. Care interactions are more personal, and better informed.

3. Serving As Your Healthcare Gatekeeper
This direct care membership model creates space for your healthcare professional to better guide your healthcare journey. Not only is there more direct and personalized health information to work from, but there is a direct one-to-one healthcare relationship created by this type of care program. That allows for more personalized and immediate guidance on how to overall protect your healthcare as your life journey raises healthcare questions and issues. This program results in direct and timely guidance.
The Three Pillars of the Practice
1. Guiding the Management of Chronic Pain
With over two decades of concentrated experience, I help patients make informed decisions in a fragmented and fast-paced healthcare environment — where even highly competent specialists may not always achieve optimal results without a coordinated approach.

2. Prevention (coming soon)
We will provide customized guidance in preventive medicine by personalizing screening tests and examinations. Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, we will help patients make the best choices by navigating beyond the confusion of multiple guidelines, insurance restrictions, and financial barriers.

3. Longevity (coming soon)
Together, we will explore the growing field of longevity science — carefully evaluating the claims and promises while focusing on evidence-based strategies to support long-term health and quality of life.
